Meeting the cost of concerts
Although all our Trustees, and everyone involved long-term with making our concerts happen, are unpaid volunteers, ticket income from our concerts covers only about 60% of the cost. We look to enthusiastic audience members to bridge the gap: by one-off donations for specific projects, or by an annual subscription as a Member or Friend.
Becoming a Member or Friend
This is the best way to support our concerts and to ensure our future: click here to access our Members and Friends form in PDF format (the file will either open as a new on-screen page or be downloaded to your computer, depending on your own browser settings or preferences). Members and Friends enjoy priority booking for each season and are invited tooccasional special events and to each General Meeting, so have a role in the running of Concerts at Cratfield as a charity by approving the accounts, electing Trustees, hearing about future plans and so on.
For more information about Members and Friends, contact our Membership Secretary (and Treasurer) Clare Webb by e-mail at email@example.com or by phone to 01986 784662 (home) or 07789 430203 (mobile). If you are already a Member or Friends and have a query about your annual subscription (which from 2017 runs for a calendar year), similarly please contact Clare.
Since 6 April 2000, all donations to charity made by a UK taxpayer can be treated as Gift Aid donations, if the donor makes a Gift Aid declaration to the charity. With this Declaration, we can currently reclaim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate to Concerts at Cratfield. Your annual subscription, if you are a Patron or Friend, qualifies as a donation, but we can reclaim too on any one-off donations which you make, at the prevailing rate: all you need to do is to complete the Gift Aid declaration on the Members and Friends form.
Other help you can offer
If you’d like to volunteer in any way to help our concerts – eg distributing publicity close to where you live or helping as a steward on concert day – then please contact Pauline at the Box Office.
