| Concerts at Cratfield 2009 | ||
Each summer, Blyth Valley Chamber Music presents a series of six or seven afternoon concerts in Cratfield, Suffolk (UK) in St Mary’s parish church. Cratfield is a small village in rolling countryside about 15 minutes drive west of the A12, close to Halesworth and Yoxford (see map). Concerts are at 3pm on Sundays. Cratfield News
Gudrun Reinke 2010 dates The concerts are of chamber music, often featuring younger performers, many with connections to the nearby Aldeburgh Festival and the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme. Each season mixes well-established works from the core repertoire with lesser known and new music, including first performances. In 2007 Blyth Valley Chamber Music celebrated its twentieth anniversary, with the world première of a new string quartet commissioned from Simon Rowland-Jones.
