Cratfield

Getting to Cratfield
Cratfield is an easy forty minutes’ drive from Aldeburgh or Snape; half an hour from Saxmundham or Southwold; fifteen minutes from Halesworth or Yoxford. The map alongside shows all numbered roads; the B-roads, as well as the unclassified ones, are twisting and often narrow, but the countryside is beautiful. At turnings and crossroads within about 5 miles of Cratfield, there are plentiful signposts to the village; on concert days, there are also our own Concerts at Cratfield signs.
For keen map-readers and those with sat-nav, the OS grid reference for St Mary’s Cratfield is TM 314 748; the postcode is IP19 0BU.
On concert days, parking in the road directly outside the church is reserved for those who pre-book a disabled space with their concert tickets, by telling the Box Office their car registration number. David Sillett at Church Farm has for many years kindly allowed concertgoers to park (free) in one of his fields, a few minutes’ walk from the church.
There is no public transport to Cratfield, but please consider saving fuel – and minimising the pressure on parking when a concert is popular – by sharing a car with other concertgoers.
