19 September 2010: Heath Quartet
Background
The Heath have played at Aldeburgh in the winter chamber music series (two concerts in 2008) and at Snape as participants in the 2007 session of the International Academy of String Quartets; but this is their first visit to Cratfield. The quartet won both first and audience prizes at the 2008 Tromp International Competition in Eindhoven, then second prize in the 2009 International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition in Vienna. In September 2009, the Heath were appointed Leverhulme Junior Fellows in Chamber Music at the RNCM. Like the Navarra, the Heath are supported by the Young Concert Artists Trust (YCAT).
